My Frame of Mind

These are my thoughts, however I may quote those who are smarter and wiser than I am.

Rub Ons, Color Ready Alpha Stickers and Daydream Papers

I know I know...it's been a whole week since I posted.
No excuses.
Honest.
(I could never tell anyone that it took me a whole week to make this layout)
It didn't. It only took 6 days!
Here's some cool new techniques and toys.
Color Ready Alpha Stickers. Pretty Cool!
Tresa Black showed us how to stamp right on them to give them some personality!
First place them on either wax paper or Craft Sheet.
Stamp right on them. Go on! It's cute!

I then stuck them on black cardstock then trimmed out to make them "pop" .
Here's a close-up.
What's that bubble thing you ask?
It's one of our Clear Window charms to magnify a cute necklace.

Here's the whole left side of the layout.
Don't I look great?!

Not really...no no, not really don't I look great...it's not really me!
(did the name on the cake give that away?)
Here's the right side of the layout.
Rub ons on three sides of the bottom picture
See those little pictures on the right edge?
It was a display board with a collage of pictures of the birthday girl. (ohthecleavernessofme)
And rub ons with the saying, "Zero 2 30 in a blink".

Yup...the first 30 years of one's life goes in a blink.
I remember 30
I was 6 months pregnant with Haley.
I didn't feel flirty.
I sure didn't feel young.
And I'm pretty sure I waddled.
I remember 30.

Well...I survived but San Francisco did NOT!

The few times I've been in San Francisco, earth shattering events have taken place.
I thought I'd gotten past that track record with a short business trip I took yesterday/today.
But OH NOOOO...uh uh...not with me on the rock!

Ok...little history here...
First time....
Remember the so called "twinkie defense"?
I was there on a JR College field trip, November 1978.
A guy claims eating twinkies impaired him and he went on a shooting spree killing Mayor Moscone and another...Yup! I was in City Hall at the time.

Fast foward 11 years...
The Loma Prieta Earthquake
Yup I was there too...7.2 at 5:04pm
It took 2 days to get me outta there!

Fast forward 18 years...
I arrived Tuesday morning for a Benefit presentation and YUP...you guessed it...

I wondered why they were escorting me out of the city!
yeesh

(sorry my link-maker isn't working and I'm too pooped to dink with it!)

Maybe I should just do what the sign says and stay in....

The Big 5.OhS!

Before you start singing Happy Birthday, this was last years' pics celebrating the 5oth birthdays of my Encina High reunion group. We get together every chance we get, not just to plan our reunions.

Interestingly enough, this layout was interrupted with a trip to the ER with Mom...she's fine, however the next day, I couldn't reach her. THAT was more scary than the original trip to ER...turns out, she took a friend to the ER...yeesh.

I definitely had a good camera day!
