My Frame of Mind

These are my thoughts, however I may quote those who are smarter and wiser than I am.

Guess.....

What do Barbra Streisand, The Monkees, Cher, Rod Stewart, Boz Scaggs, Trisha Yearwood and her hubby Garth, The Bee Gees, Bread, The Tokens, and ME all have in common?

Bliss

and that's just the short list!
(guess which color I got!)

Youth Scrapper

We definitely don't age discriminate at Stampin Memories SB Getaway!
While we do have age "guidelines" for registration (it IS a mommy's weekend away afterall), it's been fun to watch our regulars' children grow up even if it's only in the photos they scrap while attending. We were use to seeing Eryn come and go just to visit or say hi while she was young(er), but Eryn has been coming as a guest for a few years now. Her keen eye for color and design has been inherited from her mom Cari (who is seen in the post below winning bag #1!)
More about Cari later!

An Accomplished Scrapbooker

For the next few weeks (or up until the next SB Getaway featured previously), I would love to share what fun perspectives we have at the Bradley House.
When I look at this picture of Anne, (and if you are a scrapbooker you'll appreciate the humor) I see not the frustration of attempting to master the Disney Cricut cartridge...not the endless wasted scraps, not the long, really long list of the paths of how she found success for the desired result, not her bloodshot eyes, not her tongue lagging from dehydration... what I do see is the dedication and commitment (not to be confused with a person who needs to be committed) of a person totally into making a truly memorable page of a treasured moment.
Some say "KISS" (Keep It Simple, Stupid!) Well, if that is your prospective of scrapbooking or cardmaking, ok. fine. really. no really!
But don't sit near Anne.

Go ahead and sit near the "unknown scrapper"...she's usually half bagged anyhoot

Better yet...sit near me.
I usually don't get very much done unless you count dolling out the door prizes!

oh...and in case you want to see Anne's finished layout (minus the "minnie" title)

It's Time to Think About Getting Away...SCRAPbook Getaway that is!

Coming up is one of my favorite events....Stampin Memories Scrapbook Getaway!
Along with my friends Anne and Dawn, we have been sponsoring these SB Getaways 4 times per year for NINE years!
Not only is there alot of SHOPPING to do, name tags, goodie bags, but we pack a haunkin amount of stamps to share as well. In the ol' days, imagine 4 HUGE suitcases full of wood mounted rubber stamps (that was Anne) and an XXL full of stamps (that would have been ME!)
Now...shoot! A few portable, soft-sided drawers will bring double the images in My Acrylix stamp sets!
Which leaves ALOT more room for other fun things (like the Cricut and Expressions and their Cartridges of many flavors!)
Early Bird Registration is open now!
Join us for 3 days and 2 nites of fun filled scrappin and email me for details at stampinmemories@aol.com !!!

Oh! and the artwork posted above...?
When a great guy wants to five a SB Getaway to his beloved...this is what she receives!

A Pretty Darn Good Day...

It's a good day when you can finish a card!
It only took 2 DVD's yesterday but I waited to post it because I felt someone might fall over dead seeing 2 new posts in one day from me!
This is the new Silhouette Papers from CTMH and the fun new February Word Puzzle Set!

On a good note, took Mom to Dr today and things are moving forward...on to the surgeon!

HaPpY NeW YeAr!!!!

Someone said I should update my blog....Hmmm? Must be someone who visits regularly, but doesn't respond much.
Well, ok then! I can take a hint.

I am not much for New Years' resolutions...never have been, never will be. Maybe cause the last resolution I made was NOT to make any more resolutions, eh?!

I will say that I will attempt to update things here more often. But hear me now....that's NOT a resolution, k?

Alot of bloggers promise to post an idea per day, or a "word" for the day...something of that nature. Uh huh. Nope. Not gonna happen here!

Anyhoot! Hope my lovies all had a marvy holiday season and fan-tab-U-loso New Year!
The Sacramento area had the storm of the century, and we "weathered" ok...just lost a few shingles, downspouts, etc. Not bad.

Here's my latest, cutest new fetish....
TrueFit Folio Tag Books!
I will try to add a tutorial later tonite, but these are simply 12 x 12 file folders, scored then scored again, then cut outs for the tags.
This is the cover

Here it is standing up...

Here it is opened up.

Each tag has a sentiment with "Graduation" as a theme...a friend of mine just graduated with 2 BS degrees...(def NOT in B**lSh**!)
